Kidnappers abduct PDP member in Edo, demand N20m ransom

A member of the People Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Ugbo Iyiriaro, has been reportedly kidnapped alongside Benin-Abraka highway between Ugo and Ugboko neighborhood, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State.

DAILYPOST gathered that the sufferer had left Benin on Tuesday to take care of a problem of pressing significance however the journey was nevertheless aborted midway.

According to sources; the person was driving to his neighborhood ‘Umoghunokhua’ with the plan of returning to Benin earlier than he was kidnapped.

The kidnappers have since contacted kinfolk of the sufferer and demanded N20 million as ransom.

As on the time of submitting this report, telephone calls to the Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, SP Bello Kontongs, had been unanswered.
