Angry youths mob Jigawa village, kill one over motorbike accident

Angry youths have attacked Markewa village in Miga Local Government Area of Jigawa State, killed one and injured six others.

A resident advised DAILY POST that the incident occurred after an okada rider from Markewa village by chance hit a lady from Hantsu village.

He mentioned following the accident, youths from Hantsu village of their numbers attacked Markewa group in alleged revenge for his or her sister.

He mentioned the 2 villages have been at loggerheads for over thirty years.

Police spokesman ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the incident to DAILY POST.

He mentioned because of this one individual was killed and 6 others have been injured.

Adam mentioned twelve suspects have been arrested in reference to the assault.
